A collection of traditional decorative marbled papers from some of the worlds leading marblers and artists. Brought together by the commissioning collector.
Stub-bound in folded sheets with rear sides visible to see the makers marks where present. Bound in an off-boards or three part binding with titled leather spine. The boards are bound in ‘Tudor Style’ with overlapping strips of goat leather forming a three dimensional effect with blind and faceted gold tooling. The design is further enhanced by the addition of onlaid leather pieces to give a slightly more multi-dimensional effect. Hand sewn multi-coloured silk endbands. The doublures and joints are full green leather and the facing endpapers are sage green suede. Housed in a bespoke wooden box with gold-tooled leather title panel to the lid.
