Bound By Glenn Malkin, 2016 Bound on black and green goat leather in ‘tudor-style’ giving three dimension vertical panels. Recessed panel on the front cover representing the Black Sea. Tooled lines across the binding represent the letters from those fighting to loved ones back home, some of which are black suggesting bad news. Inlaid images taken from original photographs of the conflict. These are also used to create a montage used as the doublures on distressed hand made paper. Suede endpapers, hand-sewn silk endbands and decorated edges. Blind titling on the black leather spine. Presented in a cloth and leather covered drop-back suede-lined box.
