One-Day Workshop

Leather Wrap-Around Journal

Tuesday 20th May 2025

Hull Scrapstore 10:00am – 4:30pm

£65 per person including materials

This one-day workshop is suitable for the beginner to bookbinding as well as those with some experience.
All materials and tools will be provided
This is a popular workshop returning as it was over-subscribed on previous occasions. In this one-day workshop we shall be creating a leather wrap-around journal with long-stitch sewn blank pages and a simple leather thong tie. It is an adhesive free structure and the pages can be replaced when full if you wish.
There are a maximum of ten places available so booking is essential. A non-refundable deposit of £30 is required when booking (PayPal link below), the rest (£35) being payable on the day by cash or cheque (sorry, cards are not accepted). Direct bank transfer may alternatively be used by prior agreement – please ask for account details.
All the materials and tools required will be provided, as will tea/coffee and biscuits. You will need to bring your own lunch, though there are shops a short walk away. For this workshop it may be useful if you could bring along a medium hammer to be used with provided hole punches for the leather.
